It's easy to get caught up in the day-to-day grind, and before you know it, you've lost sight of what matters most.
The answer? Setting goals for yourself—and then working toward them!
Why set goals? Because life is busy and can be challenging at times, so why add more stress by setting goals on top of everything else? Because YOU are worth it, and it's important to invest in yourself. It's about making incremental improvements in your life that YOU can control. Goals are meant to challenge your own status quo and motivate you to do or try something different.
A key to successful goal setting is to set goals that are realistic and attainable. It's putting your thoughts into action! How many times do you tell yourself that you should do or try something, but you never actually do it because it is just a thought without any action?
Goals don’t have to be complex; instead keep them simple! Example: this month I am going to get outside and walk three times a week or I am going to read that book that I have been wanting to read for the last year.
Tips for achieving your goals:
1. Make them visual. Create a collage of pictures of your goal and attach it to your mirror in the bathroom so you see if every day.
2.Accountability. Find a person that will hold you accountable. Ask them to check in on you and allow them to help support you in achieving your goal.
3.Reward yourself. When you reward yourself for accomplishing your goal, it makes you want to set new goals.
